Terms of Use.

Acceptance and eligibility

By downloading or using ExifBoss, you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, do not use the app. If you are not legally able to agree on your own, a parent or legal guardian must agree for you.

Your use is also subject to the applicable terms of Apple, Google, or another store through which you obtained the app. For Apple-distributed versions, the Apple Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies. Mandatory platform or consumer-protection terms control where they conflict with these terms.

License and acceptable use

Great Minds Create grants you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use ExifBoss on devices you own or control as permitted by the applicable app-store rules.

You may not misuse the app, interfere with its operation or security, use it to violate law or another person's privacy, intellectual property, or other rights, distribute unauthorized copies, or reverse engineer the app except where applicable law expressly permits that activity.

Your photos and permissions

You retain ownership of the photos and metadata you select or create. You are responsible for having the rights and permissions needed to inspect, edit, export, share, or delete them.

ExifBoss requires photo-library access for the features you request. You control permissions through your device settings. Some features will not work if required permission is denied or limited.

Cleaned copies and deletion

ExifBoss is designed to create a separate edited or cleaned copy. After a copy is saved, the app may offer you the choice to delete an original. Deletion is destructive and may also affect synced photo libraries or cloud services. Review the prompt carefully and maintain an independent backup of important photos.

You are responsible for confirming that an exported copy is complete and usable before deleting an original. Great Minds Create cannot restore a photo deleted from your device or provider account.

Metadata and output limitations

Exif standards, image formats, operating systems, photo providers, and sharing services differ. ExifBoss may not detect or remove every kind of metadata, and another service may add metadata after export. Removing EXIF does not remove identifying information visible in an image, embedded outside supported EXIF fields, present in file names or cloud records, or retained in prior copies.

Some source formats, including HEIC or PNG, may be normalized and exported as JPEG for metadata editing. Conversion may change image encoding, quality, color handling, file size, or unsupported metadata. Verify every result before relying on it for privacy, evidentiary, archival, professional, or legal purposes.

Sharing and third-party services

If you share or save an output through an operating-system service, photo provider, cloud service, messaging app, or social network, that third party's terms and privacy practices apply. Great Minds Create is not responsible for a third party's storage, processing, metadata changes, access controls, or recipients.

Fees

The current version of ExifBoss does not offer an in-app purchase or subscription. We may introduce paid features in a future version, but any price and purchase terms will be displayed before you agree to pay and these terms will be updated when appropriate.

Updates, availability, and termination

We may update, change, suspend, or discontinue features to improve the app, address security or compatibility issues, comply with law, or reflect platform changes. We do not guarantee that every image format, metadata field, device, operating-system version, or photo provider will remain supported.

Your license ends if you materially violate these terms. Upon termination, you must stop using and delete the app. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination, including ownership, disclaimers, and limitations of liability, will survive.

Disclaimer

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, ExifBoss is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of uninterrupted operation, error-free output, complete metadata removal, privacy protection in every circumstance, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. Nothing in these terms limits a warranty or consumer right that cannot legally be limited.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Great Minds Create will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for deleted or altered photos, lost metadata, privacy exposure, lost profits, loss of use, or business interruption arising from ExifBoss. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability where doing so would be unlawful.

Privacy, changes, and contact

The ExifBoss Privacy Policy explains the app's data practices. We may update these terms prospectively; the effective date above identifies the current version. Continued use after updated terms take effect means you accept them where permitted by law.
