Summary

Model Viewer does not require an account. Great Minds Create does not receive your model files, model-library contents, viewing activity, saved views, or payment-card information through the app. The app does not contain advertising, cross-app tracking, or third-party analytics or crash-reporting SDKs.

Files you choose

Model Viewer opens files you select through Apple's Files interface or another system-provided document location. Processing and rendering occur on your device. The app may read a model and its related local sidecar resources, such as textures or binary data referenced by a glTF file.

When you open a provider-backed document, such as a file in iCloud Drive, the provider may download or sync that file under its own terms and privacy policy. Great Minds Create does not operate that file provider.

Local model library

To provide recents and saved model features, Model Viewer may store the following on your device:

• Model names, file types, file sizes, timestamps, local source identifiers, and content fingerprints.
• Security-scoped bookmarks that allow the app to request access to a previously selected file.
• Generated thumbnails and cached previews.
• Favorites, folders, camera positions, selected material styles, hidden layers or components, render mode, clipping settings, backgrounds, and lighting choices.
• App-managed copies of models and related sidecar files when you explicitly choose to keep a copy.

This information remains in the app's local storage. Depending on your Apple device and backup settings, Apple may include eligible app data in a device backup. Apple's handling of backups is governed by Apple's policies.

Retention and deletion

Recent records and settings remain until you remove them, clear the relevant app data, or uninstall the app. Cached thumbnails may be removed by the operating system. Removing an app-managed copy does not delete the original file in Files or at its external provider location.

Model Viewer Pro purchases

Apple processes Model Viewer Pro purchases, payment details, purchase approval, refunds, and restores. Model Viewer requests product information from StoreKit and receives verified transaction and entitlement status needed to display pricing and unlock Pro features. Great Minds Create does not receive your full payment-card details from the app.

Apple's processing is governed by the policies associated with your Apple Account and the App Store.

Sharing and external services

If you move or share a file using an Apple system feature or another app, the destination you choose receives the content and handles it under its own terms. Model Viewer uses local parsing libraries, including GLTFKit2 and openNURBS components, to read supported model formats; the app does not use those libraries to upload your models to their developers.

Data we do not collect through the app

Model Viewer does not use third-party advertising, analytics, attribution, telemetry, or tracking SDKs. It does not sell or rent personal information, build advertising profiles, or track activity across other companies' apps and websites.

Children's privacy

Model Viewer is a general-purpose utility and is not directed to children. Great Minds Create does not knowingly collect personal information from children through Model Viewer.

Changes and contact

We may update this policy when Model Viewer, its platform services, or applicable requirements change. The effective date above identifies the current version.
